The once famous Jewish synagogue in Vidin Riverside Park, near Baba Vida Fortress was built in 1894. The richly decorated building shows even today the importance of the once huge Jewish community, which mostly lived in Vidin Old Town (Kale quarter). The dimensions of the prayer hall are 21m x 10m. There are two plates and two marble reliefs with bronze inscriptions in Jewish language. The floor is paved with mosaic and boards. Hopefully, it might be restored soon.
