The “Assumption of Virgin Mary” Monastery of Cociulia village was founded in 1997 on the site of a monastery of which have been preserved only a few ruins that testify that the Mass was served there for a long time. Nowadays, the worshipers from Capaclia and Cociulia villages contribute with their help to the new monastery which provisionally carries out its services. On the territory of the monastery the minimum conditions are provided for visitors, including parking for vehicles.
The “Assumption of Virgin Mary” Monastery attracts all the year round a large number of visitors, including foreigners. Benevolent people with experience communicate with visitors at the monastery, informing them about the values from the area.
