"Codrii Tigheci" Landscape reserve is located in the central part of a forest steppe region of Tigheci Hills, covering a length of more than 100 km and at an altitude of 301 m.
Nine rare plant species are found in the reserve, which are included in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova. There are different plant species in the reserve: brown knapweed, red helleborine, snowdrop, peony. Some of these plants that are included in the red book, as being endangered species: snowdrop, red helleborine and peony. There are also various types of trees that could be found there such as English oak, European hornbeam, ash, cherry, wild chequers, service tree, downy oak, smoke tree and others.
At the foot of "Codri Tigheci" is located the “Fairies’ Fountain” built around 1811, also called "The Heart of the Forest".
