In the ’30s of the twentieth century, the church was pastored by a Iacoban priest who came from Romania. Under his patronage, a reconstruction of the church took place in 1935. During the period of Calistrat Father in 1950 further reconstructions were made, the porch was built with stone brought from Carpineni, at the same time a church house and belfry were also being built. In July 1989 the church was reopened. In 30 years nothing has changed in the church. The church is in a satisfactory condition. In the meanwhile, a new church was built near it and the pastor of the church is the metropolitan Cozma Petreanu.
