The museum was founded inside the local library in 1973. The museum’s collection numbers 10 655 objects. It includes thematic collections: historical, ethnographic, documentary, literary, numismatic, and philatelic. Also, it includes agricultural equipment and some of archaic nature, such as the plow and wooden hayfork, manual sowing machine. An impressive exhibition in the museum is the one dedicated to the brothers Peter and John Aldea Teodorovici.
