Natural and cultural jewels in the Nitra Royal Wine Route region

The area attracts a lot of visitors with its interesting countryside and its wine (this region is extremely prosperous for wine growing because of its fertile semi-adherent soil and the high - 11,4 °C - average temperature. The trail winds via an authentic and welcoming region, where vineyards are situated on warm south facing slopes with high average hours of sunshine.

The trail is not signed. It is selfguided trail. The most interesting natural spots are the vineyards. The best time to visit is from April to October. The trail is an ideal choice for lovers of nature and culture (for example municipality Búč has an exposotion of costumed dolls wich are accurate, scaled copies of the traditional folk costumes from more than forty villages in Slovakia).

Along this trail there are many hiker friendly accomodations (primarily cottages and pensions, for example Vintop Karkó pension and restaurant http://www.vintop-karko.sk/ in Búč) and restaurants. The trail is easily walkable, the best for target groups: families / 50+. Strekov is easily accessible by train and bus, Moča is accessible only by bus. Hikers can also try cycling and boating. Prices are friendly, food is delicious. For all visitors is recommended to try the fisherman’s soup, what is the national dish of Hungarians living in this region (in Hungarian language it is halászlé). This trail is an adventure designed for lovers of wine.
