What is the most beautiful monument in Štúrovo? The answer would have to be: the Basilica in Esztergom! It is, indeed, true that the most magnificent view of this monumental structure is from the opposite bank of the Danube, in Štúrovo.
However, this not mean that this town does not have anything to offer to its visitors. In addition to the famous Vadaš swimming pool, the pleasant pedestrian zone which is a continuation of the promenade along the Danube and the reconstructed Maria Valeria Bridge over the Danube are worth experiencing.
The first thermal bath in Štúrovo opened as early as in 1952. The most attractive features of the bath are a giant lagoon stretching over an area of 3800 square meters, the toboggan world with five toboggan slides and a swimming pool with artificial waves.
