This more than a 100 years old museum moved to its actual place in 2000. The continuously expanded collection shows the prestigious botanical collection of Adolf Olivér Horváth, the collections of bird eggs donated by people from Pécs and the surrounding areas, and the insect collections founded by Antal Gebhardt. There are also some curious tropical exhibits, mammoth remains found near Pécs and the footprint of the so called Mecsek dinosaur.
