The Ethnographic Department of the Pécs Janus Pannonius Museum opened in 1996. It gives a perfect overview of the traditional cultures of the people of Baranya from 1900 – 1950 period: colorful costumes, potteries, embroideries, pieces of furniture of multi-cultural Baranja. Also, folk traditions are presented: the famous Busó march of Mohács (one extra room), the girl market of Pécsvárad, religious folk artifacts, and more.
