East of Kalemegdan Park, a small zoo (6 ha) opened in 1936 was heavily damaged in WW II. Reconstructed, it now shows 2,000 animals from more than 200 species. Some of them are white tigers and white lions and the oldest alligator living in a zoo in the whole world.
