City: Belgrade

Country: Serbia

Once a quarantine area for all merchants and travelers entering the Hungarian-Austrian Empire at Zemun, the municipal park of Zemun opened in 1880. Most impressive are the St Archangel Michael chapel of 1786 and the Catholic chapel of 1836, dedicated to St Roch, the Saint protecting against pestilence.
