Rajko`s Cave belongs to a group of river caves. The Rajko`s River flows through the cave. After the underground flow, 893m long, it reappears and, at the exit of the cave, it adjoins The Pasco`s River. Together, they form Mali Pek, which flows into Veliki Pek, a few kilometers downwards.
According to tradition, Rajko`s Cave got its name after Rajko, a brigand, who attacked and mugged people on the road Donji Milanovac – Majdanpek, hiding his plunder in the cave.
So far, 2.304m of cave canals have been searched. They are divided into two horizons – the lower river horizon and the upper dry one.
Within the cave, one can find very interesting cave halls, baths, draperies and other cave jewellery made of white crystal calcite. Constant temperature is about 8 degrees, whereas humidity is 100%, meaning that one should bring warm clothes when visiting the cave even in the summer.
