The archive is among the 10 largest worldwide and contains 95,000 film copies, starting with the oldest preserved film “Crowning of King Petar I” (1904). The most important objects are a magic lantern (1890), and a camera of the Lumière brothers (1896), an Edison “cinetoscope” (1893) and Edison`s phonograph (1908), and the first record player – the polyphone (1860). The most impressive object is the famous Charlie Chaplin's cane. The archive got a new repository in 2007.
