Opened in 1901, it houses 150,000 objects which illustrate rural and urban culture of the Balkans, especially in the area of former Yugoslavia. The collection exhibited on three floors includes household items, jewelry, national costumes, and other items and has one of the best equipped libraries in the Balkans. The symbol of the museum is the Dečanska Fountain, located at its centre. Accessible for persons with disabilities.
