Attraction is opened all year round. The entrance fee is paid through ticket price: adults 1.56€, children 0.67€, school children 0.67€.
Key characteristics of the attraction:
1. Large areas from the late Roman town, were brought to light during almost 100 years of archaeological researches.
2. Epigraphic artifacts
3. Parts of the inner early Roman wall, and especially of the late one, which is more visible for visitors given the archaeological work in the area.
4. The archbishop Basilica, an impressive complex which occupies a great area located in the centre of the late Roman town, and where many artefacts were found, exhibited in the museum
5. The early Christian Basilica, located in the south east corner of the late Roman fortress.
6. Extra- muros basilica
7. The sacred area where, during the Greek period, there were temples dedicated to deities worshiped by the local people (Zeus, Afrodita, Theos Megas etc.)
8. The two thermal Roman complexes, one included in the late fortress, and the other situated at its south - western side, near the present museum

4. The basilica from Istria Village where it is said that entire amphora’s were walled, found by the local people in the nearby fortress, for improving the acoustics of the church.
5. The short beach on the rocky shore of the lake can be a resting place for the visitors.

There are regular buses coming from Constanta and Tulcea.
• Car
National road Constanţa - Tulcea, 54 km away from Constanţa.
• Train
The train stations are situated in Constanta (49 km), Cogealac and Mihai Viteazu (the line Bucharest Tulcea).
• Boat
The harbours which offer basic facilities are in Constanta (49 km) and Tulcea (87 km).
• Bicycle
There are no cycling paths but the traffic is fine on the secondary roads.
