The trail unveils the lovely atmosphere of Dunajská Streda, which town is thanks to its advantageous location an important commercial, economic, cultural and sport center. The town offers a wide spectrum of leisure activities for its citizens as well as its visitors. Thanks to its diverse cultural atmosphere, the city is a home to various traditions and festivals (Vámbéry's days, Music's days, Fairy Garden Art Festival, Music in the courtyard, Great Rye Island fair).

Very attractive and popular between visitors are the beautiful wellness hotels, the thermalpark, the downtown in organic architecture, sacral monuments, Contemporary Hungarian Gallery and the Museum of Žitný ostrov. Dunajská Streda is also the hometown of Ármin Vámbéry (1832 – 1913), the world-famous Hungarian orientalist and traveler. It is selfguided trail. Hikers will enjoy stay in the town in all seasons.
