Confectioner Ferenc Schwabl started his business here in 1827. Since then it has become the most important coffee shop around Buda Castle. Today, owner Miklós Szamos, shop manager Annabella and Lidia Szamos and chief confectioners Szabolcs Ács and Juhász József are trying to fulfill all the wishes of the visitors concerning cream pastries and cakes. Take your time and wait to be seated! The cozy café is small. Many orders arrive even from overseas before Christmas, for the New Year’s Eve and during Farsang carnival season.
