Natural jewels in the surroundings of Bratislava
The trail unveils the beauty of Danube in Bratislava. The trail is not signed. It is selfguided trail. The most interesting natural spot is Danube. All year around visitable, the region offers something special in all seasons. The trail is an ideal choice for lovers of nature and culture (Danubiana Modern Art Museum is one of the youngest museums of modern art in Europe).
There are many hiker friendly accomodations and restaurants. High quality accommodation, catering and relax services are available in Hotel Divoká Voda (www.divokavoda.sk). The trail is easily walkable, the best for target groups: families / 50+. Bratislava is easily accessible by train, bus, plane (the airport is the largest in the Slovak Republic) or boat. Public transport is well organized.
Hikers can also try cycling and the rafting adventure (an artificial water canal is located in Area of Water Sports in Čunovo and and is suitable also for beginners). Prices are friendly, food is delicious. For all visitors is recommended to try the "bryndzové halušky" (small dumplings with sheep's cheese and topped with pieces of bacon) and "kapustnica" (cabbage soup). Hikers also should try different sorts of cheese, either smoked or not: "parenica", "oštiepok", "korbáčik".
