Natural and cultural jewels in the from Komárno to Martovce
Visitors of the area can enjoy the picturesque plain with special flora and fauna, also they can see an exposition of folk architecture and dwelling in Martovce (the exposition is situated in a traditional three-room farmer house built in 1871).
It is selfguided trail. The most interesting natural spots are the rivers Váh and Stará Nitra. The best time to visit the area is from April to October. The trail is an ideal choice for lovers of nature, culture and history. Hikers can also try cycling and horse riding.
Along this trail there some hiker friendly accomodations (cottages, pensions) and restaurants. The trail is easily walkable, the best for target groups: families / 50+. Komárno is easily accessible by bus and train, Martovce is easily accessible by bus. Prices are friendly, food is delicious (scones, fisherman’s soup and goulash are traditional food in the region).
