János Páckh was responsible for the construction of this round church at Heroes’ Square (Hungarian: Hosök tere), in 1828 – 1835. He was inspired by the Roman Pantheon building. As well, this church was a first try and model before building the great Esztergom Basilica. The interior is of Carrara marble.
