The City Parish Church, also called Old Church (Hungarian: Öreg templom), is located south of the town hall, at Por Antal tér. It was built in the 1760s, on the former premises of a Franciscan Church of the 13th century. The high altar art work was realised by Hungarian János Vaszary (1867 – 1937).
