Museum of History and Study of Slobozia Mare Land, Slobozia Mare village

The Museum of History and Study of Slobozia Mare Land has a very impressive and valuable number of exhibits. The museum has several sectors that include a town hall, guard’s pickets, hospital and school. Also, the museum contains several thematic rooms: Beleu Lake, history of the village, handicrafts, sculptures, personalities, a hall in memory of those lost during the famine and during the Second World War, as well as information and documents about the socio-economic and cultural evolution of the village.  At the entrance of the museum the following verses can be read: "You come here to worship/ To browse the past / You have here grandmothers and fathers / Who loved their land".
