20th of August is the most important National holiday in Budapest and Hungary. All day long, festivities happen in and around Budapest. There are open air concerts and huge fireworks, the High Mass at St. Stephen's Basilica at Szent István Square (St Stephen Square) at 17.00 and the Procession of St. Stephen's Holy Right Hand at 18.00 from St. Stephen's Basilica at Szent István Square via Október 6. Street, József Attila Street, Széchényi Square and Zrínyi Street, and back to Szent István Square.
