This world renown bath in the city park is the most prestigious one in Budapest and most famous for its chess players in the pools. They have become an icon of Budapest, around the globe. Take trolleybus 72 or the millennium underground to arrive. Successful attempts in 1881 led to the discovery of thermal springs and the opening of this Artesian bath, one of the biggest in Europe. The wonderful complex was built in 1913, and since 1999 most of the complex has been restored. Take one of the numerous massage offers and healing therapies, enjoy a party of chess in the pool, or be part of one of the evening events. There are also special packages for tourists, combining folklore shows, Danube river cruises and visit to this bath.
