Budapest Zoo advertises with the idiom “Rain or shine – Budapest Zoo is fine”. See newborn lion puppies, the animal kingdom, or numerous species in the different sections. The zoo history dates back to 1866 and it went into communal hands, in 1907. Then the reconstructions took place until 1912. Only 125 animals survived WWII. Today, the zoo is world renown. In 2007, the first rhinoceros ever to be born with artificial insemination was born here.
