Spring Stay in Danube Delta

Stay 4 days and 3 nights in the Danube Delta, 2 excursions included in the price! A day trip on the lakes and canals specific to the Danube Delta in wildest areas in North of the Delta, on Lakes Long, matita, Merhei etc and south Lakes Bogdaproste, Three Iezere and channels between them. The second trip, full-day at Letea Forest, perhaps the most requested and most expensive destination in the Danube Delta.

We join clients in groups of 16 people! Stays will be Monday - Thursday and Thursday - Sunday. Available only in April and May 2013!

Boats for trips are open boats, highly secure, stable, with a guide (not a simple boatman). The guide is a great connoisseur of these places, of the birds and nature in the Danube Delta, a very passionate of Danube Delta. A trip with a great guide in Danube Delta is a service that very few people can provide it the quality we do.

Gasoline for trips in the Danube Delta, both for the boat and the car that you visit Letea Forest is included. There will not be other surprises on the spot.

Accommodation in Mila23, Delta

It is done in a very nice, 3 star, pension. It is a small guesthouse, have only 8 rooms, quiet, located right in the middle of the village Mila23, near Lipovenian Church .

You will stay in double rooms with own bathrooms, 8 rooms, 5 are double beds and 3 are with two beds.

Courtyard is very large and well maintained, full of flowers but also with places to rest or read.

Guesthouse facilities: central heating and hot water, restaurant with air conditioning, TV, barbecue, sunbeds on the pier, from the same pier you can fish.

Room facilities: air conditioning, TV, folding bed, additional for child up to 12 years (free), single bed / room.

The kitchen is based mainly on traditional dishes of fresh fish such as:

• Soups: Fish soup fish served traditionally (first you eat the fish from the soup, with garlic souce and then eat the soup), fish meatball soup, catfish tripe soup etc.
• Main course: fish meatballs, stuffed peppers with fish meat, catfish on a bed of onions, fish stew, fish fried / grilled, fish brine, fried carp or catfish etc.
• Of course there are desserts (without fish :-)) cheese and apple pie, cheese dumplings, pancakes, ice cream, donuts etc.
• On request we can provide a menu without fish (based on chicken, pork or beef), vegan / raw-vegan menu item.

We can eat in the dining room or outside, in the courtyard when the weather allows. The host is cooking great, especially fresh fish, caught on that day, with vegetables and eggs from their own farm or their parents farm.

A program proposal looks like this:

Day 1 - We meet to Ferry Crossing Point in Tulcea, at 15:00 and we'll lead you to Mila23. We go on one of the most beautiful routes in Danube Delta, Touristic route No. 1 (Channel 36, Garla Sireasa, Garla Sontea, Channel Olguta, the Old Danube - Mila23 Village). For dinner we have prepared a traditional fisherman meal (if any people in group do not eat fish, please notify this when booking).

Day 2 - In the morning, after breakfast (9:00 am), we depart on a trip (10:00). We go to see Letea Forest and Letea Village. We drive by boat to Letea Willage and from there we take the car and go to Letea Forest. We see the points of general interest, walk on the fine sand and then go back to the Village for lunch.After Lunch we go back, by boat, to Mila23 Village, on a beautiful route, over wild lakes, looking for pelicans. Lunch we have provided in a traditional house, in Letea village, well maintained, with friendly hosts and good food. We'll go back to the guesthouse somewhere afternoon to evening.
In the evening we have prepared a traditional fisherman dinner.

Day 3 - After breakfast (8:00 am) we start the trip on lakes (9:00). We take 2 boat trips today, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, each trip is about 4 hours. We'll see the lakes around Mila23 Village. Depending on the Danube water levels and on the fresh information that we have about the places where large groups of birds are feeding, will choose the best route every day.

At 13:00 we get back to lunch, eat, relax a little and then at 16:00 we go out on the water again on another route which will include sunset, seen from the boat. After sunset we return for dinner.

Day 4 - Breakfast at 9:00 and 10:30 we start to Tulcea, also on the touristic route no. 1. In this way, you actually have included four trips in four days. Around 13:00 we arrive to Tulcea at Ferry Crossing Point.

Trips in the Danube Delta

The speed is very low, we are specialized in slow excursion, for visiting Danube Delta, not speed-transport. We drive our boats at average speed of about 10 km / h and will stop to all points of interest for enjoying the wonderful landscapes, for some photos of flora and fauna of the Danube Delta.

The trip on the lakes - takes about 8 hours, depending on weather conditions or your resistance in the boat. Includes boat, guide, gasoline for the trip. We can do it in one trip or 2 trips, morning and evening.

The trip to Letea Forest - takes about 8 hours, the trip to Letea is very nice, we'll drive to beautiful canals and the Old Danube. Letea village, a beautiful village with many traditional houses made of wood, clay and reeds, painted in traditional colors green, blue and white. We let the boat and take a safari trip to Forest Letea by car. Letea Forest is the northest subtropical forest in Europe. We see the only oak forest on salt sand in the world, lianas, these subtropical flora can't be found elsewhere in Romania and the famous wild horses. When returning from the forest we walk for a while in the village to see / photograph the traditional houses that still stand in this corner forgotten by the world, talk with people and eat fruits from local trees :-).

Includes: boat, safari car, guide, fuel for both boat and car.

What we see

All the time we seek to teach you something about the places we go, about birds and flora of the Danube Delta, we always seek places with agglomerations of birds and flora specific to this season. Every season have its beauty, each area of the Danube Delta have it's specific and we'll try to help you understand it, to see why Danube Delta is so special for Mother Nature.

The price of this program is:

200 euro / person Monday to Thursday

or

210 euro / person from Thursday to Sunday

Price is in euro (EUR), per person and include VAT.

The price includes:

• Guesthouse accommodation at 3 *** (real), in double rooms, for 3 nights
• Meals (starting with dinner on first day and exit with breakfast in the last day)
• 2 days boat trips, including guide, boat and fuel
• Transport by boat Tulcea - Mila23 and return
• Danube Delta visitation fees imposed by authorities (ARBDD), just tell us Full Name and place of residence at least 7 days before arrival (book in advance)

Optional:

• Single supplement 60 euro / person / stay
• Kayak or canoe rides (very quiet parts) - 12 euro/pers/3h

Children Policy

• Children up to 6 years - 30 euro / stay (staying in same room with parents)
• Children between 6 and 12 years - 50 euro / stay (staying in same room with parents.
• Number of children shall not exceed 1 child / 2 adults.
• Responsibility of supervision of children during boat transfers and excursions rests solely to the parents.
• All children should wear life jackets mandatory as long as they are on boat (we provide the life jackets).

Schedules

Being a common group stay, schedules must be strictly respected. Transfers and boat trips depart after a VERY SHARP times (like train or airplane) whether if you are or not on board. We can't expected anyone, We have fixed hours for meals, check-in in guesthouse and so on.

In the above program you have all times, both, meeting and the tours, please organize your program so that everyone will be on board.
