In 12th century AD, knights of Saint John established here a hospital and monastery baths to cure and heal. Ottomans were also fascinated by the thermal healing facilities, but in those times, the water power was mainly used for production of gunpowder. In 1884, the facilities were sold and a hotel was added. The drinking cure hall is from 1937, and since 1999 modernizations of all pools took place. It is the perfect place for underwater traction bath for men and women, carbon dioxide bath, underwater water jet massage, medical massage, aroma massage, refreshing massage, foot reflex zone massage, sauna, infra sauna, steam-bath, mud-treatment, salt chamber treatment (Himalaya salt wall), curative gymnastics, or drink diets. Renovation works at Lucács Bath ended in 2013. It is now a favorite spot for bath parties. Take trams 4 or 6 or buses 9, 26, 86, 160 or 260 for easy arrival.
