Lepence Spa and Thermal Hotel

Wellness and spa at this, once strategic, point at the Danube Bend started in 1977, when the Lepence Thermal Bath opened. Meanwhile, the new Thermal Hotel attracts many guests from all over the world. The thermal water arrives from 1400 m depth and reaches temperatures up to 39°C. Most convenient are anti-stress massages with aromatic oils, balneo and hydro-therapies, and medical treatments. The morning gym and the beauty salon are part of the wide range of offers. The spa (800 m²) is designed with Roman and Turkish style elements and has 7 pools and a sauna park.

Just across the picturesque Pilis Park Forest, there is the new Thermal Hotel, a 35 000 ha area which belongs to the Duna-Ipoly National Park since 1997, which offers 164 rooms and 10 apartments, all with a park or Danube view. The meeting point is the terrace of the hotel restaurant “Danube” (on the first floor), where all guests admire the fantastic panoramic view of the Danube Valley. The restaurant offers outstanding Hungarian kitchen. For dessert, never miss to try a Tokaji Aszú. Wellness enthusiasts like the Aquamarine Pool-Bar.

Location: City of Visegrád is 46 km north of Budapest (GPS N 47°46' 47.18" E 18°58'57.94") and about 15 km west of the city of Vác. It can be reached by car, bus or train. There are regular tourist excursion offers from Budapest, even on a daily basis. Trains leave from Budapest Nyugati railway station to Nagymaros/Visegrád (up to 60 minutes). There is direct bus service from Budapest, Újpest Városkapu M (south side) to Visegrád (around 80 min.) You can also go by boat to Visegrád. There is a hydrofoil service of Mahart from/to Budapest (Apr – Sep, only).
