The wonderful Baroque style basilica, built in years 1735 – 1754, is the fourth of its kind in Kalocsa, the earliest dating back to 11th century. The Cathedral is at Holy Trinity Square which itself is dominated by the Holy Trinity Column of 1786. There is also the statue of St Stephen. In pre-Christmas time, it is the place for the open-air Christmas Crib.
The basilica has an Angster familly organ, one of the biggest ones in Hungary. Visit also the marvelous cathedral treasure with 110 artifacts. The permanent exhibition is in Katona István ház.
