In First Strudel House of Pest (and Café) owner Csaba Leidal prepares all kinds of classic strudel pastries, also with bourbon vanilla sauce, traditionally served with the sound of one of the four Mephisto waltzes of Ferenc (Franz) Liszt. There is also Hungarian goulash or langós on the menu list. Cabbage strudel with cognac plum sauce is delicious, while to some strudels Tokaj wine cream is added. See Leidal how he prepares the very thin batter for strudel. And admire the old furniture, where one can read “Liszt”, as well. It means “flour”, in Hungarian.
