Each year, a wonderful spectacle for kids and those believing in the fantasy of youngsters takes place around Zmaj Jovina 26, the main street of Novi Sad. Named after Serbian poet Jovan Jovanović Zmaj (1833 – 1904), these “Zmaj Children Games” are one of the biggest of their kind in Serbia. From 1958 it was originally called the the Festival of literature for children, drama and puppet theatre, it was named after Zmaj in 1969. Visit also nearby Sremska Kamenica to see the Zmaj Museum in the former home of Jovan Jovanović Zmaj.
