With over 130,000 cultural and historical objects, presented in 14 sections, the museum exhibitions reflect the outstanding rich history of Belgrade from prehistory to 19th century. It also has the exhibits of the Residence of Princess Ljubica, Sekulić Icon Collection, the Memorial Museum of Zemun, the Museum of Mladenovac, the Museum of Toma Rosandić, the Museum of Јovan Cviјić, the Museum of Paјa Јovanović, the Memorial Museum of Ivo Аndrić, the Museum of the Camp at Banjica and the Vinča archaeological site. The museum, and the museum shop, moved into its new downtown building in 2006.
