This outstanding museum was created by collector Dr. István Zelnik, a former diplomat who worked in Southeast Asia. It is prominently placed in Rausch Villa. In the basement, there is a tea house with terrace and three rooms (Orchid Room, Wunderkammer, and Collector's Corner), which have Vietnamese and Japanese furniture. Have green or flavored tea! The ground floor houses four exhibitions (South East Asia: People, Religions, Empires; Sacred art of South East Asia: images of Buddha; Trade routes in South East Asia – overland; Trade routes in South East Asia – maritime). First floor is divided in six sections: The Art of Southeast Asian highlands; Cham jewelry and ritual objects; The Cult of Shiva in Southeast Asia; Collectors Treasury; Gold and silversmith works in Khmer Kingdom; The Art of the Southeast Asian Archipelago). The loft is reserved for the Southeast Asian Research Institute.
