The remains of the first Roman military camp, most probably built in 50 AD, and the remains of an amphitheatre can be found at the southern end of Flórián Square and Pácsirtamezó Street, in Budapest district 3, the former city of Óbuda. All was in function until 409 AD. See also the nearby Aquincum Museum (more in section Budapest, museums in and around Budapest) on the sight of the Roman civil settlement.
