This Pantheon, also an ossuary, is situated at the end of Tsar Osboboditel Blvd at the park entrance. It was built in 1978 on the grounds of the All Saints church that had been destroyed a year before. In 2001 a cross was erected on top of its dome, and the chapel of St Paisius of Hilendar and a museum exhibition were opened. The Pantheon keeps the relics of the elite of the Bulgarian national Revival movement, 39 people in all including the writers Lyuben Karavelov, Zahari Stoyanov, Baba Tonka, Stefan Karadzha, Panayot Hitov, and others. A further 453 participants are honoured by inscription of their names and an eternal fire.
