While exiled in Odessa from July, 1823 to August, 1824, Pushkin stayed in this building, once the Hôtel du Nord, for 4 weeks. Renovated and reopened in 1999, on Pushkins`200th birthday, it reports the life of the poet, shows handwritings and busy, productive life of Pushkin in Odessa, where he wrote two and a half chapters of novel Yevgeniy Onegin, the Gypsies poem, and The Fountain of Bakhchisaray
