More than 300 writers, who stayed or visited Odessa during last two centuries, are presented in 24 halls, which opened in 1977. Discover the marvelous palace, once the mansion of Prince Gagarin, and discover Pushkin, Gogol, Mitskevich, Babel, Franko, Lesya Ukrainka, Korolenko, Bunin, Katayev, Kotsyubinskyy, Bagritskyy, Olesha, Ilf, and Petrov.. In the golden hall, Franz Liszt may have given a concert, as well. Never forget the Garden of sculptures, which is next door. Here, each year, a new sculpture is placed on 1st of April, Odessas special day of humor. Take trolleybus 10 to arrive. Visit also the branch, K. G. Paustovskyy Writer`s Museum at Chernomorskaya ul. 6 (same opening hours).
