The place to go! One of the actually most attractive museums is just 17 km from the city center (go on highway EU 95). And it is one a the few possibilities (of more than 1000 entrances) to enter the Odessa underground, a limestone labyrinth of 2500 km of length and up t 60 m under sea level, where even a huge spool of thread of Ariadne would not help to bring back. First kilometers of underground quarries were constructed since 1830, first to bring material for house construction to the city. Go down 70 steps and enter another world, used during German occupation in WW II also as stronghold and famous fighting place. See underground caves and even an underground partisan hospital, rooms with stone beds, the kitchen of once hidden guerillas, bullets in the wall, and certainly admire this stony knot garden in secret Odessa. Go from Aleksandrovskyy Avenue, Privoz bus station, by buses 84, or 87 or fixed-run taxi 84 to village of Nerubayskoye. The ride will take 25 minutes!
