Wörth an der Donau is easy to get to by car. It has excellent links with the international road network, with two exits from the A3 autobahn: Wörth-Ost and Wörth-Wiesent. The St 2146 runs north-south from Cham via Wörth and Wiesent then continues to the B8 via the Danube bridge. The St 2125 runs west-east from Regensburg via Wörth, Tiefenthal, Hofdorf and on to Straubing. The R7 Kreisstrasse links Kiefenholz, Oberachdorf, Wörth, Hungersacker and Weihern then continues as the SR46 towards Wiesenfelden.

Wörth is served by Regensburg bus routes 5 and 5A.

Wörth is on the international Danube Cycle Route and the long-distance European trail E8.
