Vohburg train station is in the Rockolding area on the Danube valley line from Ingolstadt to Regensburg. Vohburg is also joined to the Ingolstadt city bus network by several stops on INVG routes 26 and N8.

Vohburg can be reached by car via the A9 from Nuremberg to Munich. Take the Grossmehring/Vohburg exit and then the B16a towards Vohburg. Then follow the signs for Stadtmitte (town centre). Coming from the opposite direction, take the Manching exit and then the B16 towards Regensburg. Take the Rockolding turn-off and follow the signs for Vohburg Stadtmitte. Another route is the A93 from Regensburg to Munich. Take the Siegenburg exit, then the B299 towards Ingolstadt, then the B16 towards Ingolstadt. Take the Münchsmünster turn-off and follow the signs for Vohburg Stadtmitte.
