Transport

Rain can be reached by car on the B2 from Augsburg (accessed via the A8 from Munich to Stuttgart) or via Nuremberg and Donauwörth. It can also be reached from Ingolstadt and Ulm on the B16. The south-east bypass (opened October 2010) relieves the town of Rain from much of the through-traffic.

Rain can be reached by train on the Bavarian Danube valley line (Ulm - Donauwörth - Ingolstadt - Regensburg) by changing at Donauwörth or Ingolstadt.

Buses on the Donau-Ries public transport network serve the Donau-Lech area. Travel planners are available free of charge from all town halls.
