Neu-Ulm train station is on the Ulm – Augsburg line. The Iller valley railway branches off from this line at Neu-Ulm towards Kempten (Allgäu) via Memmingen. Neu-Ulm also has two smaller stations, Finningerstrasse and Gerlenhofen (which is only served by a few trains), both of which are on the Iller valley railway line. For long-distance connections, Intercity and IntercityExpress services are available at Ulm station.
There are excellent connections between buses and trains thanks to the new bus station (Zentraler Umsteigepunkt) at Neu-Ulm train station. Those travelling by car can leave their vehicle free of charge at the park & ride car park at the east exit of the station and continue their journey by bus or train.
