Transport

In Herbertingen, the Herbertingen – Aulendorf railway line branches off from the Danube valley line (Ulm – Immendingen). Herbertingen station is located outside the town centre and is mainly used for changing trains. Herbertingen Ort station is far more central and is on the Aulendorf line. Herbertingen is part of the Neckar-Alb-Donau (NALDO) public transport network.

By car, you can take the B311 (Ulm – Donaueschingen) or B32 (Ravensburg – Sigmaringen) to Herbertingen. The intersection of these two roads used to be in the centre of the town and handled up to 25,000 vehicles a day. A bypass has now been built which has eased much of the through traffic.

Mengen-Hohentengen airfield is located between Herbertingen and Mengen and has the ICAO code EDTM
